The European Universities Championship Rowing will be held for the sixth time in 2010. At the EUSA Executive Committee meeting in October 2008 the EUC Rowing for 2010 has been attributed to Amsterdam. The tournament will take place on the Bosbaan Rowing Course from 19 to 22 August 2010.
 
The Netherlands has been host to several Universities Championships, though it has been more than a decade since Groningen hosted the WUC in 1994. Therefore the idea emerged to host a stage of the EUC. First contact with EUSA officials has been made in 2007 at the 3rd EUC Rowing in Banyoles, Spain. In 2008 the Netherlands Students Rowing Federation decided to enter a bid for the 2010 Championships, in close co-operation with the Dutch Students Sport Association and the Royal Netherlands Rowing Federation.
