EUSA pleased with EUC Rowing 2010 progress

The EUSA Rowing Advisor is very pleased about progress being made by the EUC Rowing 2010 OC after his latest inspection visit to Amsterdam.
The one-day session comprised of a visit to the accommodation and competition venues. The afternoon meeting held at the Bosbaan’s Olympic Training Centre focussed mainly on operational plans for the 6th EUC Rowing, including venue, ceremonies and transportation.
EUSA Rowing Advisor Nigel Mayglothling said: “Especially the accommodation arrangements the Amsterdam OC have managed to secure with Accor is one-up on anything we have been able to do to date.”
“The Amsterdam OC is clearly able to put on a great championship and are to be congratulated for still being on track to deliver an excellent event”.
OC Chair Twan van Duivenbooden commented: “We have been incredibly busy sorting things out for this event, running on quite a tight budget. The economic situation hasn’t made things easy for us, but it doesn’t stop us from delivering a good quality event.“
“In the last few weeks we have made significant progress across all our operation planning, from sports schedules to transportation and accreditation.”
“We are very happy that the EUSA Rowing Advisor is pleased with our progress and we look forward to demonstrate our plans for real in August.”
